About Me

Liv Peltier has never known how to be normal about anything in her entire life, thank you very much! Her first hyperfixation was on dinosaurs at the age of four and it was all downhill from there.

As a life-long lover of history and mythology, she received an Honours BA in Classics in 2022. However, she mostly uses this to terrorize her family by drawing connections between the ancient world and Star Wars. Beyond mythological similarities, her love of the galaxy far, far away did in fact stem from antiquity (from a certain point of view). A re-watch of Raiders of the Lost Ark in late 2015 made her think “damn, that Harrison Ford sure is nice to look at, what else can I watch him in?” and the rest was history!

Liv’s love of Star Wars takes form in many different ways. As the quote-unquote CEO of #Qi’raNation on social media, she is notorious for her enthusiasm about Solo: A Star Wars Story and its femme fatale lead, Qi’ra, even hosting a popular panel about the 2018 film at Star Wars Celebration 2023. She is an avid fan of the current Star Wars comics (the Qi’ra trilogy by Charles Soule and Bounty Hunters by Ethan Sacks in particular), a part-time cosplayer (#GIRLBOSSK), and co-host of Kessel Run Relay: A Star Wars Podcast. Her goal for this blog is to write reviews and essays about the franchise she loves instead of just posting incoherent babbling on Twitter.

Beyond Star Wars, Liv also enjoys the Indiana Jones series, morally ambiguous female characters, Ancient Mediterranean societies and myths (with special focus on Sparta, the worship of Aphrodite, Alexander the Great, and Medea), Taylor Swift, maximalism, fashion, and the aesthetics of the 1930s-1970s. She works as an office administrator in Southwestern Ontario, Canada where she lives with her cat, Finn.
